At Preet, user security is not an optimization metric — it is our structural baseline. This Safety Center outlines our technical protective controls, platform rules, and real-world safety recommendations.

1. Identity Verification & Account Integrity

To preserve the integrity of our platform, Preet utilises mandatory profile authentication architectures. Every active member must complete an automated biometric selfie matching process before they are permitted to interface with the matching queue.

Accounts exhibiting deceptive behavior, catfishing indicators, or automated script footprints are permanently blacklisted. Verified hardware-level and IP bans are strictly enforced to prevent repeat offenders from re-registering on our platform.

2. Corporate Community Guidelines

To ensure a safe, respectful, and authentic environment for all members across Nepal, adherence to these behavioral metrics is a non-negotiable condition of platform access. Violations will result in immediate termination of account services:

  • The Principle of Veracity (Honesty): Users are legally and contractually obligated to maintain absolute accuracy in their profile setup. You must use authentic, unedited profile media that genuinely reflects your present identity, age, and marital parameters.
  • The Principle of Mutual Respect: Preet maintains a absolute zero-tolerance baseline for any variations of digital hostility. This includes malicious harassment, cyber-stalking, hate speech, explicit bigotry, or the unauthorized transmission of explicit sexual materials (cyber-flashing).
  • The Principle of Financial Safe-Guarding: Financial safety must be treated with absolute vigilance. Users must never solicit, request, or wire capital, loans, or investments to another match under any pretext. Do not disclose digital payment variables (such as eSewa transaction IDs, Khalti credentials, bank details, or wallet PINs).
  • The Principle of Authentic Engagement: Preet is explicitly engineered for genuine human alignment. The implementation of scrapers, background automation scripts, third-party interface APIs, commercial advertisements, or commercial escorts is systematically monitored and strictly prohibited.

3. Secure Ephemeral Media ("Peek") & Conversations

Preet provides specific built-in utility tools designed to safeguard your visual presence:

  • Photo Blur Controls: You maintain the authority to leave your main profile photos blurred by default, exposing your unblurred image assets solely to specific matches you explicitly choose to trust.
  • The "Peek" Protocol: Visual content sent via our ephemeral "Peek" utility is built with secure container protection designed to minimize long-term storage or unauthorized distribution. However, as no technical mechanism can completely block secondary external physical hardware captures, we recommend exercising sound judgment when distributing private imagery.

4. Incident Reporting & Escalation Workflows

If you encounter a profile that violates our community metrics or exhibits harmful behavior, please initiate an official report immediately.

In-App Escalation: Select the menu toggle (three dots icon) located on any individual profile layout or active chat view, and select Report. Your submission routes directly to our specialized Trust & Safety team for human analysis, with typical review timelines occurring under 60 minutes.

For critical or complex safety concerns, please reach out through the in-app Help & Support section. Urgent reports are reviewed as a priority.

5. Protocols for In-Person Interaction

Transitioning digital matches into real-world encounters should always be executed with high degrees of personal safety. We advise implementing the following precautions:

  • Public Locations Only: Schedule your first several in-person meetings strictly in highly populated, well-lit public commercial venues (e.g., public cafes, established restaurants, or central shopping zones). Avoid private residences or secluded travel routes.
  • Independent Logistics: Manage your own transit parameters to and from the venue. Do not allow a new acquaintance to pick you up from your home address or place of employment on an initial encounter.
  • Emergency Notification: Explicitly inform a close friend or family member of your exact location, the identity details of the person you are meeting, and your projected return timeline.
